: im jsut letting him know that an ud pulley will cause extra wear on the bearings that would not normally be realized. IT doesn't give horsepower anyway, it frees it up by removing an important item. Better off making more horsepower by raising the boost a little more, or buy an aquamist package from nixit and run 2-3 more psi and make EVEN more power, while still protecting your bearings from excessive wear becuase you removed something that a nissan engineer thought was necessary. In fact, all engine designers use them.. Maybe they are all just stupid and they like to make the factory spend more on production, I dont know anything about manufacturing, but that just sounds fishy. : : enough extra wear on the bearings to make them fail before 150K? which is when most people rebuild their engines anyway(modified engines) he crankshaft?! Does it have a harmonic dampener on it? NO.
Does it blow one's engine becoz of the stock/lightweight flywheel that has no dampener? NO. And how much weight/stress does the crankshaft have to drive the components (flywheel to the rear wheels) thru the rear main rod bearing comparing to UD pulley with alternator, power steering and compressor thru the front main rod bearing? and yet does the rear bearing broke less than 50K miles? NO Erick
